This dram hits you like a punch from Frank Zappa himself—unexpected and utterly brilliant. The nose is stunning, all heather smoke and seawater with a hint of burning fir wood, like a coastal bonfire on a windswept night. First sip? Sharp lemon juice and almondy notes explode, then it’s mashed turnips and pickled samphire dancing on the tongue, weirdly wonderful. There’s a medicinal kick, a touch of tiger balm maybe, and smoke so delicate it’s almost theatrical. But here’s the thing—it’s like watching De Niro and Pacino in a film that never got made, intense and layered. The finish? Smoke lingers, a bit of soot and liquorice wood, and you’re left wondering why we didn’t stockpile this when it was around. Oh why haven’t we bought more of these when they were available? It’s a 1987 style never to be found again, bold and "nowhere else to be found." Clumsy? Maybe. Peculiar? Absolutely. But somehow, it shouldn’t work and yet it does. 🥃

This dram hits you right in the face with a nose that’s absolutely stunning – delicately smoky but not in a usual way, more like burning fir wood and coastal air mixed together. The first nosing is almondy, almost like marzipan, but then there’s this sharp lemon juice cutting through, paired with a tincture of iodine that makes you think ‘oh so very peculiar’. It’s like the Frank Zappas of malt whisky – shouldn’t work and yet it does. On the palate, it becomes a little gentler but still packs a punch. There’s seawater and more seawater, with a medicinal kick that’s both tiger balm and embrocations. The finish is long and very salty, like smoked oysters drizzled with wine vinegar. I’m getting flashbacks to 1987s, and I swear this could be the De Niro and Pacino of Longrow – complex, bold, and haunting. Why didn’t we buy more when they were available? This style is nowhere else to be found, and I’m already craving another sip. ✨

Blimey, this is a proper oily beast. 🥃 It's like sitting on wet seaweed next to some old boiler fumes, but in the best way possible. Tons of seawater, tarry rope, and salt-baked fish. Super clean but deeply oily, with a sharp kick of black pepper and lime. Absolutely brilliant stuff when it hits the spot. Proper dram.

第一次闻的时候有点杏仁味，然后就… 嗯，是石楠花的烟熏？不，更像是稻草和一点骨髓的咸鲜。喝起来居然有腌渍海蓬子的感觉，还有种生牡蛎的矿物质感，挺艺术的。 这风格真的没在别处见过。烟熏味很纤细，底下藏着类似药膏和碘酒的气息，但组合起来莫名和谐。像在海边礁石边散步，空气里混着海水、海藻和一点烟灰。 回味又长又咸，还有点虎标万金油的凉意和柠檬草的草本香。太奇特了，但就是让人停不下来。啊，为什么当初不多买两瓶呢… 🥃
