Had a dram that reminded me of sticky strawberry jam and a splash of Madeira cake, with a hint of liquorice and eucalyptus floating in the background. It felt rather sweet, jammy, and balanced, like a fruit cordial meets a light shiraz finish – quite a ride for the palate, honestly pretty excellent 😄

Had a dram last night that reminded me of sweet children's cough medicines mixed with jammy red berry fruits, a touch of liquorice and a hint of eucalyptus. The texture felt a bit flabby, like port wine finishes, but there was a juicy wild strawberry note that kept it balanced. Kind of a fun ride, like sipping Madeira cake with a splash of rum. 😊

Started off with this lovely rose-amber colour in the glass, quite inviting that. Got proper baked bananas straight away, really sticky on the nose with loads of red fruits and jammy sweetness that reminds me a bit of the fruit cordials we used to have as kids honestly. First sip is pretty excellent — there's this lovely interplay of Madeira cake and sultanas mixed with cherry lip gloss vibes? Almost like sucking on one of those sweet children's cough medicines but in a good way lol. But then it sort of has an imbalanced wobble about it, not quite sure of itself in the middle. Texture's a bit flabby which is a shame cos there's some lovely dark fruits hiding in there alongside this strange balsamic onion thing that keeps popping up. The wine finishes and port wood give it a nice twist, almost like a rum-soaked fruitcake at Christmas. Quite a ride from start to finish tbh — held a decent note but the finish fades rather quick and could be better. Worth trying if you fancy a fun side to share at a tasting.

Ah, this one's a bit of a fun side. The colour is a lovely rose-amber, and the texture is rather sticky and almost flabby in texture, coating the glass. It's rather sweet, like fruit cordials and jams, with strong notes of Madeira cake and baked bananas. There's definitely port wood and wine finishes in there – I get plums, wild strawberries, and dark fruits, a bit like a rich plum sauce. The sweetness reminds me of sweet children's cough medicines, but in a good way. It's quite a ride. There's a touch of bramble leaf and eucalyptus peeking through, trying to add balance, along with a hint of balsamic onion and liquorice. The finish is juicy, with red berry fruits and strawberry jam lingering. Not quite sure of itself, but pretty excellent for a sweet, sticky treat. Cheers 🥃
