Had a fun dram tonight – it tonight – it feels like new make indeed! with a slightly mechanical quality, nicely mineral and a hint of clay. There’s a soft, almost new‑make vibe, fresh milled cereals and a touch of olive oil, plus a faint lactic acidic quality that recovers a point or two. A little waxy combo, citrus rinds and a whackier petrol note give it a little chaotic charm, yet it stays rather soft and medium‑bodied. 😄

Cheers mate! 🥃 Just had a nip of this and first thing I pick up is pure apple, like crumbly orchard apple straight off the tree. Got little hints of light white wine, fresh cut grass, even a dash of seaweed? Yeah that briny little twang’s there. Finish is fairly long, plenty of ash hanging about, touch of lager-like beer, and that weird note that’s half gin half soap? Also got soft herbal bits, a creamy yoghurt hint, and the old sherry cask’s a bit overly sulphured but still bloody lovely. Oh and there’s even a faint shell saltiness right at the end, proper interesting drop.

Justpoured a dram, looks very pale, almost like vase water with a hint of citrus rinds and a waxy combination. First sniff gives crushed grass and a little whackier note, maybe some petrol and a slightly mechanical quality. On the palate it's much softer, rather soft, with a nicely mineral backbone and a hint of agave distillate vibe – feels like a charming distillate that’s almost new make indeed! There’s a slight lactic tang, a bit of clay earthiness, and it recovers one or two points as it opens. Fun, little chaotic but somehow grounding, like freshly milled cereals mixed with olive oil and a whisper of face cream. Some distance from the usual style but still got that quirky, unlikely era feel. Overall a fun sip 😄

Had a dram that felt like a waxy mix of face cream and mineral oil, with a whiff of petrol and freshly milled cereals. Just poured a very pale dram and was struck by how much softer it feels than most of my recent bottles. The nose opens with a waxy combination of citrus rinds and a faint hint of mineral oil, almost like face cream slipping over clay. There’s a slightly lactic edge that gives it a tiny mechanical quality, but it’s really gentle – a little whackier than I’d expect, yet still quite calming. It reminds me of a distant era, something almost new‑make indeed, with just enough quirks to keep it interesting. 🌿🥃
