Tonight's pour feels like opening a weathered wooden box in a damp forest – there's lemon zest right upfront, then this intriguing broken branches and cool camphor note comes through. You get a hit of salty, almost anchovy-like umami that pairs weirdly well with the kilned malt sweetness. The mouthfeel? Absolute perfection, coats the tongue like cool climate Riesling. Grassy and earthy, with a touch of dill and that subtle medicinal side some peated malts have. Finish is long, rewarding, sweet peat mixing with wet dog vibes (in the best way). The silent oak really grounds it all. Complex, a little fun, and that extra dimension keeps you coming back. Real joy in a glass. 🌿💧

Right, so poured myself a dram tonight. First sniff? Wow. Like walking into a fish smokery, proper smoked fish and those salty anchovies in salt. Then it shifts – there's this sweet peat, earthy, almost like turning over wet earth with some broken branches. Really complex. Goes on the tongue with a crystal-clean hit of lemon and apple peelings. That cool climate Rieslings vibe is there, all zesty. Then it gets interesting... a bit of eucalyptus lozenges, a whisper of camphor, and honestly, a weird hint of bubblegum. The mouth feel is perfect, really coating. The grassier notes and fresh grass come through, with some dill and anise in the background. It's got this extra-dimension, like silent oak has given up all its secrets. Ends with a fun, kilned malt sweetness and just a tiny, charmingly earthy whiff of wet dogs on a windy beach. 🌊 All in all, a proper rewarding dram. Really enjoyable. 👍

Blimey, this one’s a right adventure. First whiff, it’s like walking into a French garden – that lemon and anise from Alsace, very bright. Then I get this cheeky bubblegum note, but it’s fun, not childish. Deeper in, there’s something like wet dog after a rainy walk… but in a charming way? 🤔 The taste is where it gets proper rewarding. Sweet peat leads the way, like a cosy bonfire, and then this smoked fish appears, alongside some fresh dill. The mouthfeel is spot on, really coats everything nicely. It finishes with this lovely organic, broken branches sort of earthiness, like you’ve found a great dram in a forest clearing. Top notch. 👍

Just tried this dram. Hmm, the nose is kinda grassier apple peelings and a touch of camphor – reminds me of that organic, earthy scent after rain. The palate has this extra-dimension, you know? Like a Riesling from Alsace meets kilned malt. There’s a fun bubblegum note, but also something weirdly like wet dogs – that medicinal side creeping in. But underneath, there’s this silent oak. The mouthfeel is perfect, honestly. It’s got that cool climate Riesling vibe with a hint of grass and sweet peat, plus a little anise twist. A rewarding dram for sure. Cheers 🥃👍

Wow, this is a rewarding dram. It starts off grassier, with hints of eucalyptus lozenges and camphor – very crystal-clean and excellent. The taste reminds me of broken branches and organic grass, giving an earthy vibe. Perfect mouth feel, with dill and kilned malt coming through, almost like Alsace wines. Anise adds a fun, medicinal side, and sweet peat with lime keeps it interesting. There's silent oak in the background, and I also get notes of anchovies in salt and apple peelings. It's complex, with an extra-dimension that feels like cool climate Rieslings. Really nice! 😊
