The palate’s got that flint smoke and crushed seashells thing going on, saline and briny like seaweed crackers by the coast. A hint of funky cider apple and smoked oatmeal keeps it grounded, while dried mint and aspirin give it a curious medicinal edge. The finish is long and nicely complex, with bath salts and elegant herbal notes lingering. It’s got that lighter side of Caol Ila vibe — fragile quality and straw-like texture, but still pleasurable. Not sure if it’s the sheep wool or hessian that’s tickling my senses, but it’s making me crave lemon and ginger tea afterward. Very good! 😊
