Tonight's pour feels like opening a weathered wooden box in a damp forest – there's lemon zest right upfront, then this intriguing broken branches and cool camphor note comes through. You get a hit of salty, almost anchovy-like umami that pairs weirdly well with the kilned malt sweetness. The mouthfeel? Absolute perfection, coats the tongue like cool climate Riesling. Grassy and earthy, with a touch of dill and that subtle medicinal side some peated malts have. Finish is long, rewarding, sweet peat mixing with wet dog vibes (in the best way). The silent oak really grounds it all. Complex, a little fun, and that extra dimension keeps you coming back. Real joy in a glass. 🌿💧
