Got a lovely nose of ripe apples and sunflower oil, with biscuits and doughy sweetness reminding me of fresh focaccia straight from the oven. A soft custard layer mixes with mirabelles and a faint Fino sherry vibe, finishing with a floral touch that lingers like gold on the tongue. Warm, a bit strong but very very good 😊

There's something beautifully natural about this dram - it opens with a lovely floral side that reminds me of springtime, then comes through with ripe bananas and mirabelles dancing around the glass. The 1st fill sherry influence is clear, bringing this rich, almost focaccia-from-the-oven warmth that's just very, very, very good. I get hints of croissants and sourdough bread, maybe some sweet maize bread too, all wrapped up in this honeyed glow. There's a vegetal oils thing going on, not unpleasant - think sunflower oil and paraffin, but in a way that works. The finish has these delicate flowers appearing out of nowhere, which is rather lovely. It's excellent albeit a little strong and hot, the kind of whisky that makes you want to sit by the fire and forget about the world. Old-school Bunnahabhain vibes for sure - proper comforting stuff. 🥃

Blimey, this dram is a proper surprise 🥃 First off there's that soft waxy note, like the edge of a new candle, with a tiny little hint of paraffin that takes me right back to my grandad's old shed. Then sweet maize bread and ripe apples hit, all golden and toasty, like you just pulled a fresh loaf out the oven. There's a lovely floral side too, peeks through halfway, soft as wildflowers in the garden. Mirabelle spirit gives a little zing, like biting into a ripe mirabelle plum still warm from the sun. You get that biscuit crumb base, a tang of sourdough bread, even a little dash of varnish that reminds me of my old school woodwork desk. Then the 1st fill sherry comes through bright and salty, Fino style, mixed with honey and mirabelles, like slathering jam on crusty sourdough. It's excellent albeit a little strong and hot, but that just means you sip it slow, let all the doughy, bready notes settle on the tongue. Perfect with a plain biscuit dunk after dinner, honestly.

First thing I catch is that wet 1st‑fill sherry buzz, like a sweet, porous bread whisper from barley. Then a honey‑sweet, soft‑maize‑bread hit that feels almost like a warm biscuit bite with a hint of wax and a subtle varnish glow. There’s a strong coffee‑tonic echo, a splash of Nescafé, plus a floral, ripe‑banana sparkle and a faint sunflower‑oil warmth. All rolled together it’s surprisingly golden, almost like a light‑golded focaccia with a splash of sour‑bread tang that lifts the whole thing. Very good, with a custard‑like finish that lingers. 🎉🍮

Blimey, this is very, very good. Got that old-school Bunnahabhain vibe straight away, proper all barley character. Ripe bananas and mirabelle spirit hit me first, like stewed mirabelles with a splash of something floral. There's this waxy, paraffin note that reminds me of an old church candle, mixed with a touch of varnish in the best way. Then it gets all bakery-like — fresh croissants, sourdough bread, even focaccia straight from the oven. Sweet maize bread and pancakes with honey and custard. Ripe apples, quinces, apple peel. The Fino influence gives it this lovely dry edge against all that fruit and dough. Finishes with flowers appearing, a proper floral side lingering. A little strong and hot on the finish mind you, but excellent overall. Feels completely N.a.t.u.r.a.l, no messing about. That gold colour tells you everything. One of those drams that just tastes like all breads and biscuits and sunshine. 🥃
