搭配一块kugelhopf,简直就是served on some kind of cake,hints of oriental pastries也冒出来了。在44度下totally normal,完全没有weakness。 余味里有fresh mint的清爽,还有点precious black tea的回甘,almost like very old cognac。

Tobacco hit right upfront, mixed with what felt like moist cake crumbs – strange but pleasant. Later, hints of something like oriental pastries came through, almost a drop of Chartreuse in the background. Then it shifted, turning more tropical. Overripe apples, and honestly, some superb peaches stewed in mint sauce. No harsh woodiness at all. Almond biscuits too, like those you’d have with tea. This one deserved a spot on the podium, for sure. So many layers – mangos, various teas and fruits, reminding me of very old cognac at points. Brioche and medium body, with fresh mint weaving in. Soft spices, a touch sharing traits with Bowmore maybe? A precious black tea note, orange blossom and honey. The herbal and fruity development was superb, amazingly fresh for its age. A bit of kugelhopf texture, praline sweetness. Really, no weakness detected. The color was a beautiful full gold. Ended with a gentle Verbena hint. Sip after sip, complex yet so enjoyable. 😊

Just poured myself a dram of this lovely amber liquid. First thing that hits me is this gorgeous aroma - like walking into a patisserie with fresh brioche and kugelhopf, then some amazing peach stewed in mint sauce. There's this beautiful mix of teas - a precious black tea note, and something wonderfully herbal. It's totally smooth for 44%, no harshness at all. In the mouth, I get these delicate spices, orange blossom honey, and then these lovely almond biscuit notes. Almost like having dessert with a cup of fine tea. The finish is superbly fresh with hints of fresh mint and verbena, developing into more tropical fruits. Absolutely no over-woodiness - just a touch of oak balanced with all these pastry and fruit notes. Honestly, it shares some lovely traits with another island malt I enjoy. The development in the glass keeps revealing new layers - it's right there on the podium for me. Full gold colour in the glass too, just beautiful. 🥃✨

Ah, this one's a right beauty to look at – full gold, like honey catching the light. First whiff gives you these lovely fruity notes, really fresh, almost like ripe mangos and overripe apples. There's a delicate floral thing going on, maybe verbena? Taste-wise, it's just impeccably smooth. Wonderfully soft spices come through, nothing sharp, with hints of something sweet like praline or even a brioche or kugelhopf. You get that amazing freshness from the mint, and these superb stewed peaches just dance around. It's all so well integrated, flawless really. Honestly, it's extrememly drinkable. The medium body carries it all without any over-woodiness. A little touch of something herbal at the end, like a drop of chartreuse, and maybe a subtle tobacco leaf note? You'd almost want to serve it with a slice of cake. A perfect after-dinner sip. 😊✨
