Just had a dram, it’s amazingly fresh with a kick of orange blossom and fresh mint 🌿. Flavours of overripe apples, juicy mango and a buttery brioche note, like a slice of kugelhopf on cake. There’s a whisper of Chartreuse, soft spices and many teas in the background, giving a superb herbal/fruity development that feels almost like very old cognac. No weakness, totally normal at 44 – impeccable and flawless.

superb herbal and fruity development, no over-woodiness. Mangos and soft spices blend, with superb peaches stewed in mint sauce. Totally normal at 44. Amazingly fresh, orange blossom and honey. Just a tad oaky now, something more tropical, hints of oriental pastries. Some precious black tea, brioche, served on some kind of cake, and verbena.

Ooh, that’s a proper treat! First sip hits like a warm hug—honey drizzled over brioche, just a whisper of oak holding it all together. Then the tropical storm kicks in: juicy mangoes and overripe apples dancing with Verbena, like a summer puddle in the garden. A drop of Chartreuse sneaks in, sharp and herbal, cutting through the richness like fresh mint on a peach tart. The praline and almond biscuits give this cosy, cakey vibe, like it’s been served with a slice of kugelhopf. And the tea notes—oh, so many teas! Black tea’s there, but it’s not heavy, just a precious dusting over the whole thing. The finish lingers like orange blossom and tobacco leaves, fresh as a morning breeze. Absolutely no cloying woodiness, just pure, drinkable joy. Feels like Christmas in a glass, but without the guilt. 🥂

Crikey, this one's a proper treat. First sip and I'm getting this lovely orange blossom and honey thing, almost like a fancy afternoon tea really. Then there's some overripe apples and mangoes coming through, very tropical for something so mature. The tobacco note is subtle but there, on the podium alongside these gorgeous peaches stewed in mint sauce - mad combination but it works. Reminds me of some sort of kugelhopf or brioche cake I'd grab at a continental bakery. No over-woodiness at all, which is refreshing. Just a tad oaky now, with soft spices and this hint of Verbena that makes it amazingly fresh despite the years. There's praline and almond biscuits in there too, plus something that feels almost very old cognac-like. A drop of Chartreuse-like herbaceous note sneaks in, alongside some precious black tea. The medium body carries it all beautifully, no weakness whatsoever. Honestly, totally normal at 44 years to be this well-balanced 😌 Shares some traits with that Islay style I fancy, though this has something more tropical about it. Could easily see myself having this served on some kind of cake after dinner, with hints of oriental pastries lingering. Many teas and fruits wrapped up in one glass really. 🥃

满满的金色酒液在杯子里晃，看着就心情好。 抿一口，舌尖碰到的是熟透的蜜桃，混着薄荷和柠檬马鞭草的清新感，真舒服。慢慢化开，有种热带风情，芒果的香甜冒出来了。 再喝，嘴里有种烤杏仁饼干和奶油蛋糕的满足感，还带点蜂蜜的黏润。一丝烟草味和坚果焦糖（就像那什么太妃糖？）让它更有深度了。 回味里，浮现的是上好红茶的醇，还有橙花的幽香。感觉特别平衡，木头味一点都不抢戏，整体柔和又复杂，有点像喝到了很棒的老白兰地。 喝完一口只想再来一口，太顺了，根本找不到哪里不好。😊
