Blimey, this whisky is a right treat 🍸! Got a lovely nose, all tobacco and sherry, like a classy cigar lounge. The dry sherry notes are all over the place, but in a good way, like a fine wine. And the finish, oh boy, it's long and satisfying, like a warm hug on a cold night. There's a bit of spent engine oil and lamp oil in there too, which sounds weird, but trust me, it works. It's like a rich, spicy raisin bread, all walnuts and cinnamon mints. And the aftertaste, bone-dry Madeira, just as excellent. Pass the olives and the jabugo, please, this is a whisky to savor 🍴. Not excessive at all, just a nice, cool drink. Red cabbage stewed in liquid shoe polish, that's a new one, but it's actually quite nice. All in all, a cracking good whisky, if a bit tricky to nose. But hey, that's all part of the fun, right? 😊

The nose is just lovely, really lovely – proper sherry-forward with loads of walnuts and that amontillado vibe. It’s bone-dry on the finish, like a splash of Madeira that’s been left out too long, but not excessive at all. There’s this weirdly classy thing going on, part of a proper registered style, though I can’t place it. Tastes of tobacco, truffles, and walnut wine, with a hint of spicy raisin bread. The mouthfeel’s cool, almost like old copper coins dipped in metal polish. Long finish, proper long. Not every day you get something this elegant – pass the olives and the jabugo please, I’m feeling fancy. Just as excellent, really.

The nose is lovely, tricky mix of sherry and oak spices. Big sherryness hits first, dry Madeira follows, and there's a walnut wine depth that's not excessive at all. Weirdly, eggplant-and-asparagus soup vibes pop up, which I didn't expect but somehow works. Tobacco and cinnamon mints come through mid-palate, with a truffle-richness that's classy. The finish is long, spent engine oil and old copper coins lingering, but in a way that's more intriguing than off-putting. Just as excellent as the nose suggested – cool, bold, and oddly satisfying. Pass the olives and jabugo, please.

Just poured a glass and the nose is lovely – cinnamon mints and oak spices dancing with a hint of metal polish. First sip hits you with big sherryness, bone-dry Madeira, and walnut wine, like someone’s spilled a bottle of spent engine oil into a bowl of spicy raisin bread. There’s this eggplant-and-asparagus soup vibe mid-palate, oddly warming yet cool, not excessive at all. The finish? Long time no old copper coins – tobacco and truffles lingering, very amontillado-y. All fine, but that "style doesn't always bode well for the palate" thing kicks in; bit too much lamp oil for my liking. Still, pass the olives and the jabugo, this one’s got class.
