This one's quite the old one, isn't it? Very complex from the get-go. I'm getting loads of dried fruits — prunes and raisins mainly, very Christmassy. There's this slightly troubling note that I can't quite pin down, almost metallic? Like licking a spoon you shouldn't have 😅 Then it shifts to glazed chestnuts and a bit of Ovaltine, which is proper nostalgic that. Kinda like childhood bedtime drinks but with a grown-up twist. Very protean indeed — keeps changing on you. One sip it's chocolate and soot, the next it's this herbal, almost yellow chartreuse thing going on. Properly weird but I'm not mad about it honestly. Would I reach for it on a Tuesday night? Probably not. But on a cold Saturday with nothing to do? Absolutely. 🥃

Blimey, this one's a proper chameleon in the glass. 🤯 First, there's this rich, full gold colour. Then you get hit by... is that shoe polish and old leather? A bit of soot, like a damp November evening. But then it softens into sweet, glazed chestnuts and prunes, maybe a hint of Ovaltine and chocolate. There's an earthy, herbal note too, and a faint metallic tang right at the end. It's one of those old ones that keeps shifting on you, never quite the same twice. Quite the different profile. You know, you just sit there sniffing it, trying to pin it all down. 😅

First sip surprised me... so much going on. 🤔 Got this herbal thing, like Yellow Chartreuse mixed with dried herbs, but then there's chocolate and glazed chestnuts too. Really complex. Dried fruits come through after, prunes and raisins, almost like Ovaltine. Something metallic lingers in the background, a bit troubling at first but then it changes. Wildly protean, one minute Tarragone-style herbs, next it's all cocoa and nuts. Different profile for sure. Not what I expected at all. 🍫🌰

嚯，这杯酒可真复杂，第一感觉像打开了个老酒柜，一股陈旧的煤烟味夹着药草香飘出来。草本植物的味道挺重，有点像黄色查特酒那种感觉，但更粗旷些。 鞋油和巧克力的味道奇怪地混在一起，哈。喝下去后嘴里有种干燥感，然后慢慢泛出葡萄干的甜。尾韵有点像麦乳精，暖暖的。 说实话，喝完有点困惑，不太确定自己到底喜欢不喜欢…有点像跟一个老派但很健谈的人聊天，听了很多故事但记不住重点😅

This one’s got a full gold colour, really catching the light. 🥃 Different profile from what I usually pick – it’s very complex, almost protean. On the nose and tongue, I get chocolate and herbal notes, like glazed chestnuts and prunes. There’s a bit of shoe polish and soot, which sounds odd but works somehow. Reminds me of Ovaltine, malty and comforting, with a yellow chartreuse herbal edge. Feels like an old one, Tarragone-style perhaps. A touch troubling at first, but it grows on you. 🤔
