Just poured a dram, first note is sweet malt and honey, then a hint of white pepper and ginger liqueur warmth. There's a touch of orange cake and fudgy sweetness, backed by sweet spicy oak and a little hay. Finish is long, a bit like old earthy tea with a whisper of moody blond tobacco. Really worked a treat 😊

🥃 Had a dram this evening that reminded me of custard and orange cake, with a hint of salted butter fudge and sweet malt. The colour was a deep gold, almost shortbready in feel. Nutmeg and hay floated on the nose, then honey and raisins came through, backed by sweet spicy oak and sweet oak. A touch of even rye and moist blond tobacco gave it some bite, while white pepper tingled the finish. It was malty, long and just worked a treat – really sweet overall.

刚倒了一杯，凑近一闻先是 raisins 和 sweet oak 的香气，混着点 old earthy tea 的感觉，挺舒服的。 喝起来是明显的 malty 和 custard 的口感，甜丝丝的，又带着点 salted butter fudge 的温暖味道，嘴里还留着一点 ginger liqueur 的辛辣。 收尾有点 pepper 的刺激，转成 sweet spicy oak 的余韵，像嚼了块 shortbready 配 bitter oranges，挺有意思的。 慢慢喝着，还能感觉到 soaked barley 和 nutmeg 的影子，最后嘴里是 moist blond tobacco 和 fudgy 的甜，有点舍不得咽下去。 总之是场不错的体验，喜欢这种丰富的层次感 🍂🥃

This one's got a lovely long, gold hue, proper cask-driven character. The nose hits you with sweet malt and orange cake, maybe a touch of bitter oranges. There's raisins and custard in there too, quite fudgy like salted butter fudge. On the palate, it's oaky but with a sweet spicy oak that's really excellent woodwork, not overpowering. Nutmeg and white pepper give it a gentle kick, while old earthy tea and even rye add some depth. The shortbready malt is smooth, almost like malty beer, and the ginger liqueur lifts the finish. Hay and sweet oak linger nicely. It's worked a treat, really balanced. 🥃
