第一口像是打开了一个老式皮箱，里头塞满了干果、陈年烟草和蜂蜜，还有股淡淡的康诺利皮革味儿。接着鼻子里钻进些薄荷软糖和蜜饯李子的甜香，像是圣诞节糖果铺里飘出的暖气。 喝下去先是一阵光滑的波浪，像老白兰地那样圆润，但又夹着烤面包皮和李子干的嚼劲。鼻腔里冒出点游戏肉的野气，还有泥煤似的草本味儿，像是夏天在荒原上晒太阳。舌尖上是熏李子、无花果和一点点柑橘皮的余韵，最后拖着长长的烟草和蜂蜜尾巴，像块陈年帕尔玛火腿在嘴里慢慢化开。 整杯喝完，嘴里还残留着蜡封无花果和烤饼的余温，像刚从乡间小店买了半打新鲜出炉的牛角包。

Gosh, this one’s proper complex. Deep amber in the glass, like old cognac. Getting all these stewed prunes and waxed figs on the nose, with a touch of old tobacco and even a bit like Parma ham – odd but moreish. There’s a resinous, almost camphory note that keeps it interesting. So smooth on the palate. It’s got that rounder, meaty, game-y quality, but it’s balanced with something like orange squash and sweet heather honey. The finish is gloriously long, with a faint tobacco strand and a whisper of menthol fudge. Reminds me a little of a fine old amontillado, in the best way. Really quite something. 👍

Poured myself a dram this evening and honestly, what a beauty. That deep amber colour just glows in the glass. Right away I'm getting this mentholy note mixed with old tobacco, like opening a tin of fine old tobaccos on a cold evening. Then it shifts — there's figs, stewed prunes, and dried fruits all layered together, almost like an old amontillado sherry has snuck in somehow 🍷 The middle bit is really complex. I keep getting flashes of toasted croissants, liquorice, and this weird but lovely hit of Parma ham alongside some mutton suet richness. There's citrons and pears lifting it up though, keeps it from being too heavy. Quite rounder than I expected. Finish is long and smooth — miso soup umami, some heather, and that orange squash sweetness fading out with a touch of mentholy sultanas. Old cognac vibes right at the end. Honestly feels like there's no modern wood-technology messing about here, just proper craft. Glorious stuff really. Might need another glass 😄

刚抿一口就愣住了——这层次也太丰富了吧！先是waxed figs和dates那种扎实的甜，接着泛上一点leather polish的复古感…转头又尝到mentholy fudges的清凉奶糖味，像小时候吃的薄荷太妃糖 😂 慢慢品着，shortbreads的酥香和dried fruits的酸甜混在一起，突然飘过一丝old amontillado雪莉酒的氧化坚果香。最神奇的是居然尝到miso soup的咸鲜！？还有mirabelles那种野性的酸，但又被manuka honeys的黏稠甜感裹住了。 烟丝味是那种tobacco strand干燥的质感，不冲。咽下去之后…哇，currants和orange squash的果酱感涌上来，带着很resinous的松脂气息。尾韵超级长，camphory的樟脑凉意在喉头打转，偶尔跳出pear的清甜和citron的酸涩——这组合太会玩了！ 整体非常glorious又smooth，完全能喝出oak’s been mastered to perfection的那种老木头功力，毫无现代木桶的毛躁感。就是复杂到需要慢慢琢磨，喝着喝着自己笑起来 🍂

Right, so I'm sipping this one, and the oak's mastered to perfection. There's a tobacco strand that lingers long, reminding me of pears and toasted croissants. A bit of mutton suet and game-y character, with manuka honeys and mentholy sultanas coming through. Shortbreads and leather polish, waxed figs and camphory notes, dates for richness. No modern wood-technology here, it's glorious. Feels rounder, deep amber in color. Parma ham and liquoricy flavors, very resinous. Finishes with miso soup and figs – quite the ride! 😊
