Just poured a dram that glows light amber, nose was superb – think golden sultanas, beeswax and a whiff of lamp oil. On the palate I get sea‑salt‑infused bitter chocolate, dried mint and a zippy coastal note, backed by lots of strong exotic teas and masses of jasmine tea. There’s a leathery, damp tobacco feel with spiced damson jam and a touch of menthol extracts, all wrapped in highly polished furniture vibes. Finish is long, with crystalised citrus peels and a hint of incense. 😌

There’s a spiced honey note and a cheeky black‑pepper edge, plus a leathery, polished feel that reminds me of a well‑worn leather armchair. A bit of green herbal tea and lamp‑oil nuance shows through, and the spicy tannin gives it a gentle grip. It feels very much aromatically alive and kicking, a beautiful, expressive old whisky that makes you think of a pot‑pourri of memories – just the sort of thing you’d enjoy by the fireside with a smile 😊.

The finish is long, mineral‑oily and a touch menthol‑y, sliding into a gentle leathery afterglow. It feels like sitting in a polished room with highly polished furniture, a sip of aged Cognac and a cuppa of green herbal tea on the side – absolutely gorgeous and expressive, even if it’s a touch tired towards the end. 😊
