Hada dram tonight, pale gold in the glass. First sniff gave a really lovely nose – honey and mint with a touch of eucalyptus. On the palate the peat is much more pronounced than on the nose, lightly earthy, a bit of smoky tobacco and pepper, plus a hint of chestnut purée. There’s also ripe apples and a splash of honey, pretty cheerful and rather fresh. Finish is a tad short, fades after about fifteen seconds, with a slightly drying touch. Overall very well composed, a strong contender for my favourite of the month. 🥃
