Just poured a dram of this – smells like shoe polish and metal polish, very old Speyside. Doubt it's from up to the 1950s, around wartime era. Great speysider with sooty notes. Tastes savoury, umami, like roasted tofu or malt soup. A hint of glutamate, almost fat sancerre or white wine vibes. Excellent finish, golden and lingering. Cheers! 😋

Wow, this is gold. It smells like... not very Speyside, actually. More like old metal polish and a hint of shoe wax. There's this wild mushroom, earthy thing going on. 🌿 And it tastes... sort of sooty, a bit salty. Tons of chalk and clay, for sure. Reminds me of a very, very old white Bourgogne, but with a tiny soapiness in there? Doubt it's very modern. The finish is excellent, though. Long and earthy, almost up to the wartime era in character. A great Speysider that doesn't taste like a typical great Speysider, if you know what I mean. Quite the experience.

Feels warm and cosy 🥃 Bit of honey, soft vanilla, maybe some stewed apple. Gentle spice at the end, not too shouty — quite easy to sip.

Lovely wee dram 🥃 Soft honey, a bit of dried fruit, gentle spice, and a warm oaky finish. Feels cosy, smooth, and easy to sit with after dinner.
