Got this Black Barrel the other day, right? The label’s absolutely sublime, that awesome collage-y one, was proper excited to try it 🥃 It’s a light style, very gentle, you get that touch of lemon and melon first, bit of a white wine vibe too, really brightens things up when you’re knackered after work. Got vanilla sugar, creamier coconut liqueur notes, bit of hay and wood underneath, grain takes the lead with corn and much malt in sight, sweeter and softer than I expected, just a faint little hit of ethanol at the very end. Tbh it’s decent enough, ten thousand times better than that last not-so-successful experiment I chanced on, but doesn’t entirely live up to the grace of the label, y’know?

That label’s a proper stunner, isn’t it? 🌾 Grain’s right up front, soft and gentle, with a whisper of vanilla and hay. Bit of lemon brightens it up, almost like a light white wine vibe. Creamier than expected, but the coconut’s a bit… meh. Still, decent enough sip.

This one's got quite a bit of ethanol upfront, not entirely living up to the grace of the label, but there's something about it. Vanilla and corn give it a sweeter, almost dessert-like edge, while hay and melon make me think of a summer field. A touch of lemon brightens things up, though, cutting through the sweetness. It's not-so-successful experiment, but it works in a weird way. The wood from Black Barrel adds a subtle smokiness, and the coconut liqueur note makes it feel a bit like a tropical cocktail. It's decent enough, much better than I expected from a bottle with such an awesome label. 🍸

Quite a light, gentle dram for me. I get a bit of white wine brightness, soft hay and pale wood, then it turns creamier with vanilla sugar and a little coconut liqueur vibe 🥥 There’s plenty of malt about, but the whole thing feels a touch like a not-so-successful experiment, still easy enough to sip.

Yet, it feels like there doesn't seem to be much malt in sight; it's very gentle and softer than expected. A touch of lemon brightens things up, which is nice. 🍋 However, overall, it seems like a not-so-successful experiment. I've tasted things ten thousand times better – this is decent enough, but honestly, much better options out there.
