Had a dram earlier lovely fresh feel with fresh oranges and a drizzle of more honey gentle smoke curling in hints of menthol and eucalyptus a whisper of camphor the malt is really good very well composed rather fresh chestnut purée smooth lightly earthy a bit of undergrowth and smoky tobacco finishes fade a bit after about fifteen seconds but still shorter than expected but pleasant peat much more pronounced on the palate than on the nose touch peatier than older batches a trace of ashes rather cheerful overall 😊

This one hits you with a proper punch at 43%, but in a good way – dangerously drinkable 😄. The nose is lovely, all ripe apples and honey with a hint of hay, very fresh and cheerful. On the palate, the peat comes through proper strong, much more than the nose suggested, mixed with gentle smoke and a really good malt backbone. Got this earthiness, mushrooms and undergrowth notes, maybe even a touch of chestnut purée sweetness. Orange zest and mint pop up too, with a weirdly nice camphor and eucalyptus edge. The finish is smoky tobacco and more honey, though it does fade a bit after about fifteen seconds – shorter than expected but pleasant. Very well composed, a strong contender for BFYB of the month, this.

Just poured a dram, pale gold in the glass, 43% ABV. First sniff: oranges, a hint of menthol, lightly earthy with a touch of camphor and ashes. On the palate it’s fresh, a bit honeyed, hay‑like, with a touch peatier than older batches and a slight drying finish. The menthol and camphor linger for about fifteen seconds then fade. Quite a cheerful sip 😊

Pale gold in the glass, lovely nose—ripe apples, a bit of honey, and that earthy mushroom note. First sip’s a surprise, peat’s much bolder than the smell suggested, with a gentle smoke and a touch of camphor. Bit of eucalyptus and pepper too, finishes with ashes and a hint of chestnut purée. Fades a bit quick but it’s fresh and rather cheerful 🥃
