Blimey, this one's a proper big beast. First whiff hits you with massive earthiness and soot, like standing next to a coal fire. Then there's this whiffs of exhaust fumes and pine wood smoke, mentholated and sharp. Takes you right to the coast, honestly. I'm getting kippers and cured ham, then suddenly sweet citrons and Seville oranges pop through. The old dry sherry influence is there, grounding it all. Palate is huge power, but wow, it's somehow smoother than the nose suggested. Wood and liquorice wood, walnuts, beeswax... myriads of other things keep unfolding. A fab, glorious unfolding. There's a slight touch of soy sauce and parsley too? Unstoppable, really. Perfect balance in the end. Mission accomplished. 🥃
