🥃 Bloody hell, this is an absolute ripper innit? Pours out light gold, already smells like older Islay whiskies but the smoke has vanished completely, just lovely small berries and a hint of almonds poking through, plus that superb vegetal note like fresh herbs straight from the garden. First sip hits and you get this interplay of moleculer I’ve never even tasted before, right? Vinous freshness like the great white wines I had in Provence last year, brimming with minerals, a whisper of finest mezcals without the harsh burn, subtle syrups like the kind you drizzle on morning porridge, superb flavours that feel extra-terrestrial almost. It’s got this real ode to time vibe, like it’s been transmuted into something from another dimension entirely, unfathomable subtlety, oils and fats making it so silky it coats your tongue just right, wild little black cherries, soft floral notes, even a whiff of herbal teas when it fades. Flavours for which we don’t even have analogies, like tasting unknown substances from some mad other world. You just get swallowed by the whole experience, it’s a sublime medley innit. What’s the point of resisting a dram this good? Proper mad, I’m already pouring a second one.
