Cheers! Just poured a dram of this amber beauty. The colour alone makes me smile. First whiff, I'm getting honeys and chocolates, like toffees and caramels melted together. There's a hint of gianduja and those exquisite blackcurrant buds – lovely! But honestly, best to let it sit a bit after opening; needs some oxygen to really shine. As it breathes, it turns more herbal but not at all overwhelming. The taste? Like Mars bars whipped up by a three-star chef – so fancy! Loads of fruitcake with figs and dates, almost fresh, and sweet liquorice weaving through. The finish is long, with orange lingering and, oddly, cured meats and teriyaki beef jerky popping up. Simply perfect, so balanced. Bet this could cellar for twenty or thirty years and still be gorgeous. 😊

Honestly, cracking this one open felt like Christmas already 🎄 The colour's this gorgeous deep amber, and on the nose there's proper fruitcake vibes mixed with roasted peanuts — like someone baked a tray and left it by the seaside. Getting some coastal notes too, that salty breeze thing. Actually reminds me of those big sherry monsters I've had before but it's almost fresh somehow? More resinous than I expected, with propolis and beeswax coming through — quite intriguing really. There's cured meats in there too, proper savoury depth. The palate's got these exquisite notes of blackcurrant buds, and honestly the Mars bars character is like something a three-star chef would knock up — sweet but ridiculously well balanced. Went in expecting something heavy but it's got this elegance about it, almost like a wee melody playing in the background 🎶 Orange lingering beautifully in the aftertaste, proper long finish that. And the name — splendid name! 👏 Worth mentioning this sample came from a bottle that had been open a few months, and I reckon it was all the better for it. Best not to rush into them right after opening. These ones you could honestly celler for twenty or thirty years and they'd only get better. Absolute beauty of a dram.

Proper cosy dram 🥃 I get gentle smoke, honey, a bit of dried fruit and warm spice. Feels smooth, slightly oaky, with a wee peppery kick at the end. Nice and comforting, like a rainy evening pour.

Blimey, this whiskey's got a right proper taste! Starts with a bit of smokiness that lingers, then comes a lovely vanilla sweetness, and ends with a spicy kick that warms you up nicely. Just what you need for a cozy evening. 🥃😊 Sometimes I think it's a bit of a rum one, but top notch!

First sip, and oh wow, it's really smokey and peaty – like walking through a misty moor at dawn 🌫️🌿. Then there's this lovely honey sweetness that just lingers on the tongue, with a bit of fruity notes coming through, maybe some apple or pear 🍎🍐. The finish has a spicy kick, kinda peppery, which is just ace. Really enjoy how it all comes together, proper warming feeling inside. 😊 Sometimes I get a hint of floral too, makes it quite refreshing. Not too overpowering, just balanced and smooth. Definitely a sip to savour slowly. 👍
