Right, popped open a random bottle the other night and blimey, what a proper ride 🥃 First hit is that sharp seawater and saline whack, then straight into that fuel oil tang and the metallic zing of old copper and brass pennies mixed with that weird metal polish tang you get from old cutlery, the sort you dig out of your coat pocket after a trip to the pub. There’s this weirdly cozy Maggi and lovage note mixed with salted liquorice, a little rubber/bakelite whiff and faint new tyres hit too, plus a little tar twang and a faint sense of peat? Ends with a bright citron liqueur pop, a tiny hint of kirsch-like fruit and that warm copper gold glow, bloody charming, very good for watching the telly with no plans.
