Just had a dram that hit me with a smoky, almost ashtray vibe 😅, reminded me of damp magazines left in a shed. There's a hint of mercurochrome sharpness, but it mellows into a wee tad sweeter note, like a touch of pink pepper on the tongue. The finish is long and chalky, with a lemony zing that feels almost like biting into a fresh oyster or a crisp petit Chablis from a cool vintage. Pure and plain, yet somehow ueber‑blade‑y, like a Tart kippers snack on a rainy afternoon. Lovely blade of flavour, really.

Crikey, this one is just... pure. Like, a plain and utter purity, almost startlingly so. It’s ultra-clean, with a lovely blade of acidity that reminds me of the best Petit Chablis from a cool vintage. There’s a smoky note, but it’s a Textbook young peater – more ashy than a bonfire, like ‘an ashtray’ after a good night out, or even damp magazines in a seaside cottage. Doesn’t forgive, in a way, it’s so direct. But then there’s a wee tad sweeter, some chalky mineral thing, like crushed chalk or wool. Weirdly, I get a whiff of kippers and oysters – that briny, coastal thing. The finish is long, and the whole profile is almost Japanese in its minimal, focused intensity. That ueber-blade-y quality just cuts right through. 😮

Last night I poured a dram that really took me on a journey. The first sip was fresh and citrusy, very pleasantly bitter with those zesty lemons and a hint of white wine. Then came a lovely coastal vibe – I could almost taste the brine, oysters on the rocks, and beach sand. There's a youthful energy here, but it's surprisingly deep. A rougher medicinal touch and some green peppercorns add character. The great sherry cask influence is there in the background, with creamier, fruitier notes coming through. The finish is long, with a smoky limoncello note and a lingering saltiness. 🌊 It's like a walk on a cool Scottish coast, with a bottle of limoncello and some raw wool blankets in your bag.

第一口像海边潮湿木头里藏着的消毒水味，那种老式鞋油的刺鼻劲儿，但又不讨厌，反而有点上头。接着是一股淡淡的白葡萄酒酸气，像刚剥开的柠檬皮和柚子肉混着盐蜜的滋味，舌尖上还残留着泡菜和干草的余韵。中间突然蹿出一股樟脑油和薄荷糖的凉意，像涂了虎骨膏似的，但又不呛人，反而让人想深吸一口。 然后是泥煤烟熏的那股子劲儿，像烧焦的绳子和柏油路面的味道，夹杂着海藻和矿盐的咸腥。后段有点像刚煮好的热薯条蘸了麦芽醋，带着绿胡椒粒的刺激。回味特别长，像嚼了一口柠檬蜂蜜糖，但又不甜得发腻，就是那种嚼着嚼着就停不下来的劲儿。最后鼻子里还残留着干燥的药草和海风的气息，整体干净又复杂，像一杯喝到一半的柠檬蜂蜜茶，但又比茶劲儿大得多🍃

There's a definite whiff of kippers by the fire, mixed with that lovely lemony tartness, like a really good petit Chablis from a standout year. It's got this 'Bauhaus' style to it, all minimal lines and no fuss. The smoke is there, but it's more like crushed chalk than an ashtray, and it doesn't forgive any slack. Underneath, there's a fascinating, almost Japanese purity, with a hint of damp magazines and old wool. A real textbook young peater, but so refined. The finish just goes on and on, chalky and sharp. What a dram. 👌
