This one's got a proper full gold colour, gorgeous in the glass 🥃 First thing that hits me is this earthy sherriness, like walking into old bodegas in Jerez on a warm afternoon. Then there's that quality sherry note coming through – dry and spicy, really quite tight on the palate. As it opens up I'm getting walnut cake, actual walnuts too, mixed with something like fresh dough and toasted brown bread. Very moreish. There's a bit of engine oil lurking in the background, which sounds odd but honestly works. And just the faintest hint of cigars, like someone smoked one in the room hours ago. Really reminds me of proper sherry – the dry, spicy kind. The finish lingers with that walnut and bread character. Quite a journey this one takes you on 🇪🇸
