Just poured a splash, added a splash of water – yesss! Instantly the aniseed starts rising, then a whiff of orange peel and orange blossom water, proper fresh. The mouthfeel is oily, a bit like mint and wild carrots with a hint of fennel, while peanuts and soft vanilla melt in. There's this quiet, almost toolbox‑old vibe, like broken branches and roots poking through, but it stays clean and narrow‑ish. The finish drags on long, a bit like straw‑marmalade fading into tiny touches of varnish – absolute awesomeness. Honestly, it’s pretty perfect, my favourite sip of the day. 😊

blimey, this 29 year old is my absolute favourite 🤌 first up you get soft breads, a hit of peanuts, then that earthy wild carrots and broken branches and roots vibe rising aniseed, fennel, even a tiny touch of varnish that somehow works add a wee drop of water? Yesss! Completely decomposes into myriads of tiny herbal flavours: orange blossom water, marmalade, mint, soft vanilla, a bit of harsher green tea that fits right in long finish too, you get oils, straw, orange peel, sunflower, that excellent cask shine through pretty perfect, total awesomeness, narrower but clean, quietier than I expected even that old toolbox again note popped up and I loved it

This dram’s got that lovely, lingering warmth – proper long finish it is. First sip hits with soft vanilla and a hint of marmalade, sweet but not cloying. Then the herbal side kicks in: mint, fennel, wild carrots and stuff, all dancing around with this quietier, cleaner edge. There’s something earthy too, like broken branches and roots after a storm. The orange peel and orange blossom water give it a nice floral lift, while peanuts and sunflower add this nutty, almost oily depth. Tiny touches of varnish and softer breads make it feel rich but not heavy. Harsher green tea notes pop in there somewhere, keeps things interesting. It’s my favourite kind of balance – narrower but clean, with awesomeness that just keeps decomposinto into myriads of tiny herbal flavours. Absolutely perfect, that. Best I’ve had in ages. 🥃
