Then there’s this sweet, almost candy-like note—Whole pack of liquorice allsorts? Yeah, that’s exactly what it’s like, sticky and nostalgic. The smoke’s there, but not overpowering, like American oak that’s soaked up all the excess ash and just left this gentle campfire whisper. Banana pie and vanilla fudge mingle somewhere in the middle, thick and syrupy, maybe a touch of olive oil making it slide down smooth. But then—ho and oh—there’s this odd minestrone of flavors: clams, scallops terrine with riesling, even a hint of squid ink and mint sauce. Sounds mad, but it’s weirdly brilliant. The finish lingers forever, all salted water and fresh bourbon wood, no water needed here, it’s already got enough heft. 真的漂亮的嗅觉感受。异域水果、石楠花和一丝海风与海岸干花的气息，像是烟熏菠萝椰奶冻——椰子、芒果、菠萝，但又带着焦油和树脂的冲击感。时间确实在泥煤与果味间施展了魔法，同时提升并浓缩了两者。有种糖浆般的质感，油润十足，是那种老派的泥煤烟熏，很自然的沥青和窑烟味。烟熏橄榄油、麻袋布、樟脑……太迷人了。浓缩度极佳，余韵悠长，带着胡椒、草本和一丝偶然的金桔香。绝对是最佳的陈年状态。
