First sip hits with a lovely arrival of quinces and green apples, a hint of Fresh mint and grassy fruitiness. The body feels Wonderful, almost like warm bread and porridge with a touch of Baker's yeast and leaven. Mid-palate brings peppercorns, a whisper of soot and smoke, and waxy notes. Aftertaste lingers long with liquorice, salted caramel Werther's vibes, and a mature, distilled grain character. Pretty complex, very similar to the 2003 I had a while back. Absolutely excellent 'eau-de-vie d'orge' feel, very natural and much more mature. 🥃

This one’s a proper treat – hits you straight away with big oranges and this grassy fruitiness that’s dead refreshing, like biting into a crisp green apple. There’s a lovely arrival of warm brioche and porridge, all soft and malty, and then the herbs kick in – loads of them, fresh mint mixed with something deeper, maybe peppercorns? The body’s wonderful, coats your mouth like proper barley and grain spirit should. Halfway through, it turns smoky – not overpowering, just a whisper of soot and that old-Highlands feel, like a fireside dram. Then the salted caramel creeps in, Werther’s-style sweetness balancing it out, with a splash of hazelnut liqueur underneath. The finish’s long and moreish – liquorice lingers, but it’s that natural, earthy kind, not artificial. Feels much more mature than younger drams, with a waxy smoothness and this green tea complexity that keeps you guessing. Dead good 🍊✨

Blimey, this one's a bit of a time machine. First whiff and I'm getting big notes of oranges and fresh quinces, that grassy fruitiness really pops. There's a lovely waxiness to it, like an old beeswax polish, and underneath that, a lovely arrival of something like salted caramel butter biscuits. The body is wonderful, really coats the mouth. Tastes of warm brioche and a hint of hazelnut liqueur, very much in that classic, much more mature old-Highlands profile. It's wonderfully fruity but also has this pure barley and leaven character, almost like artisan bread dough. A bit of peppercorn warmth creeps in. The finish is long, with that grassiness returning alongside some high-end green tea and a final whisper of liquorice. Really reminds me of the 2003. Pretty complex stuff, excellent sipper for a quiet evening. 🥃

刚倒出来就闻到一股纯纯的谷物香，像刚磨好的面粉混合着面包房的气息，特别自然 🌾 第一口下去，感觉挺顺的，有股清新的果味在舌尖打转——让我想起青苹果和桲果（quinces）那种酸甜交织的清新感，还夹着点草本香气 🍃 中段慢慢展开，嘴里像化开了一层烤面包的暖意，间或透出一丝榛子利口酒般的坚果甜香，整体感觉挺丰满的，层次挺丰富 尾韵有点意思，渐渐泛出甘草似的草药味，还带一点点胡椒粒的微辛，收尾干净又持久 😊 说实话，这感觉让我莫名想起2003年喝过的一支，有种熟悉的亲切感~

Wow, this is quite the journey! On the nose, I'm getting lovely warm bread and porridge, that classic bakers' yeast note, then these big juicy oranges pop out. There's a bit of high-end green tea in the background too, very natural. Takes me straight back to an old-Highlands profile. The body is wonderful, quite full, and the arrival is so lovely and fruity. I get that grassy fruitiness, almost like distilled grain but purer. A bit of saltiness plays with your tongue, which is nice. Can taste pure barley and some wax. The finish is long. A bit of liquorice and fresh mint comes through, even a hint of salted caramel like Werther's. It's much more mature than I expected. Feels almost like a great white wine or an excellent 'eau-de-vie d'orge'. Really reminds me of the 2003 vintage, very similar. It's a big, excellent dram. 🥃
