Honestly, this one’s still very good, no flaws as such, y’know? 🥃 First you get wee touches of mint, then more mint creeps in as you sip, leaves that mentholated aftertaste too. There’s that soft feeling of walnut skin under it all, plus it’s lighter, got a grassy kick, way less vanilla-ed and bourbony than I expected, not super aromatic globally. Oak’s much more pronounced, feels rather young, you can tell it’s from the wood but it’s probably not a nosing grain. There’s a nice hint of strong tea in there, the gold colour’s really lovely too. But honestly, it’s becoming a little unbalanced, and the easiness of the 1972 does it quite some harm. Probably not one of my favourites, though I quite like it overall.

It's a lighter dram with a grassy edge and a golden hue. The nose is more wood-driven, less aromatic overall. On the palate, there's a touch of mint and a mentholated aftertaste, along with some walnut skin and mineral notes. It feels a bit unbalanced, maybe the ease of the 1972 does it harm, but it's still very good. Not one of my favourites, but I quite like it. ✨🥃

Gold in the glass, nice colour. Oak’s right up front, bit more than I’d like. Less of that sweet vanilla I usually go for. Grassy, with a wee minty kick—almost menthol at the end. Walnut skin tannins lingering, like strong tea left too long. Lighter than some, but the wood’s a bit heavy-handed. Still, no flaws, just not my usual cup of tea. 🍃

Poured a dram, colour bright gold, notes of strong tea and a hint of wood, feeling lighter and less vanilla‑bourbon than I expected. Rather young on the palate, less aromatic globally, with a touch of mint? Actually not much mint here. Becoming a little unbalanced towards the end, but still very good. Probably not one of my favourites, and definitely not a nosing grain for me. No flaws really, just a straightforward sip. 🥃

This one feels a bit young, you know? The colour’s a nice gold, but on the nose it’s… hmm, probably not a nosing grain. More like walnut skin, a bit grassy. Definitely lighter overall, and less vanilla-ed, less bourbony. I get more mint, just wee touches of it, and a strong tea note. Taste-wise, oak’s much more pronounced. Less aromatic globally, but there’s a solid mentholated aftertaste. It’s not one of my all-time favourites, but it’s got no flaws really. Quite like it for what it is – still very good. 😊
