Poured out a lovely gold dram earlier, honestly it's rather young so oak’s much more pronounced right off the bat. 🥃 You get that mineral twang straight away, plus wee touches of mint on the back end that leaves a bit of a mentholated aftertaste. There's a grassy hint too, and that nice, familiar feeling of walnut skin you get sometimes. It's less aromatic globally, nowhere near as vanilla-ed or bourbony as some, even has a strong tea whiff to it. The easiness of the 1972 does it quite some harm mind, it's definitely not one of my absolute favourites, but still very good, quite like it overall really.
