Crikey, this one’s a proper treat for the senses. The colour’s a beautiful deep amber, right away I’m thinking of a leather armchair in a study, with maybe a hint of pipe tobacco lingering in the air. It’s amazingly fresh on the nose, no hint of that usual varnish note. I get these lovely waves of café latte and chestnut honey, then some sweet macaroons and a touch of something like roasted chestnuts. 🍂 Taking a sip, it’s wonderfully medium in body. It has this unique quality, right between a great old bourbon and a great old malt whisky, but with its own character. There’s a quasi-vodka clarity to it at first, then it blooms into rich mocha and brioche, almost like a streusel topping. Blimey. 🔥 The finish keeps giving, with a memory of brioche and a final, gentle hint of drops of PX. This is easily one of the best grain whiskies ever made, utterly miraculous stuff without any cloying sweetness. Just brilliant. 🥃🍫

Blimey, this is something else. First thing that hits me is this gorgeous amber colour in the glass — really inviting. The nose is like walking past a French patisserie. Brioche, shortbread, even brownies. There's this lovely vanilla and chestnut honey sweetness, with hints of kumquats giving it a bit of zing. A touch of coconut rounds it all off nicely. Taking a sip... honestly, it's like liquid pastry. Mocha and café latte notes come through, with these gorgeous raisins and maybe a drop or two of PX influence. The chocolate is rich but never heavy. Really amazingly fresh for something with this much depth. What gets me is how clean it is — no harshness, nothing woody or overdone. It sits right between a great old bourbon and a great old malt whisky, if that makes sense. That grainy quality is there but refined, almost like a quasi-vodka level of purity. The finish brings out pipe tobacco and chestnut purée, with this lovely streusel character. Superbly balanced throughout 👌 Honestly one of the best grain whisky experiences I've had in ages. It's got this miraculous quality to it — complex yet so approachable. Will definitely be savouring the rest of this bottle slowly 🥃

倒出来是漂亮的amber色，闻着有pipe tobacco和roasted chestnuts的香气。喝起来medium，没有varnish味，void of excessive oak，反而像liquid pastry，充满mocha、chocolate和brownies的味道。还有touches of coconut和vanilla，superbly balanced。让我想起kougelhopf、brioche和raisins，加点kumquat和chestnut honey。余味短，有leather和shortbread的影子。整体amazingly fresh，真是miraculous的体验！🍫🌰

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 I get soft vanilla, a bit of oak, and a gentle smoky edge. Feels smooth, slightly sweet, with a wee spicy tingle at the end. Nice for a quiet evening.

Oh, this whiskey's got a loevly smell of heather and honey 🍯, sort of like a summer meadow in Scotland. On the tongue, there's a zing of citrus – think orange peel 🍊 – with some gentle spice kickin' in. The finish is long and smoky, bit of peat there 🌿, and a hint of vanilla. Really rather pleasant, innit? 😊 Sometimes it feels a bit fruity, maybe apples or pears 🍎🍐, but not too sweet. The warmth builds up nicely, just like a good chat by the fireplace. Cheers to that! 🥃
