First sip hits you with this proper piney punch, like chewing on fresh pine needles and fir sap drops straight off the tree. There's a minty freshness dancing about, almost spike-y but in a way that wakes you up. The mossy, earthy notes remind me of a damp forest walk, mixed with something green and herbal – think parsley, dill, maybe even a bit of fresh coriander. It’s got this brutally honest character, not that easy to tame, but there’s a gentler side lurking under the surface. The nutty edge is exceptional, kind of like crushed pine nuts or almonds, and the peppery kick at the back is sharp without being overwhelming. Hints of ginseng and angelica give it a weirdly medicinal twist, while the argan oils add a waxy thickness – not unpleasant, just different. The finish lingers with a smoky-sweet thing, like someone’s thrown a handful of Scottish pesto on a campfire. Not your typical dram, but it’s got guts. Winner in my book for being so jumbled yet oddly cohesive. 🥃✨
