Had a dram today that felt like a sunny picnic – pink grapefruits and orange zest up front, then a splash of pineapple, redcurrant and mango swirling in with an exotic fruitiness. A little musk and soft smoke lingered at the back, like a whisper of bonfire. Felt kinda much the same as last week but with a touch of monotony broken by pure maracuja sherbet and a container of passion fruits. 😊🥃

Justhad a dram that felt like a burst of lime peel and finger limes, with a dry waxy edge and a tense, mineral backbone — limestone, clay, a hint of petrol and wormwood. It’s bright, almost like crushed nettles and geraniums, with a long, nervy finish that opens up with a splash of water. Very precise, almost like an aged Riesling meets Viognier, green herbs and tarragon dancing together. 🌿

Just had a dram that really explodes with water – bright straw colour, a whiff of petrol and wormwood, then lime curd and grapefruit zest dancing with exotic fruit teas. It feels wonderfully on green herbs, a bit tight but punchy, with white flowers and a touch of putty. The finish is quivering green acidity, lots of clay and mineral qualities, like an aged Riesling meets Chenin Blanc. Really specific and unusual profile – makes me think of sitting somewhere between St Magdalene and… Lochside. 🥃🌿

Blimey mate, this dram’s absolutely bonkers 🤯 Right out the bottle it’s that bright straw gold, full of quiet power, hits you first with punchy grapefruit, lime peel and that sharp bergamot oil tang, then that classic petrolic edge creeps in, backed by a whiff of very old Benedictine and buttered white toast. Super tense, tough but brilliant distillate mind you, all that green fresh citric mineral quartet buzzes on the tongue, little flashes of underripe gooseberry, aniseed, fresh muddled herbs, even that vase water clean mineral feel like limestone dust. Add a drop of water and it really explodes, spills out lemon barley water, lime curd, finger lime bursts, that long mineral oil note stays, even a hint of exotic fruit teas and white flowers? It’s properly a wine drinkers malt, sits somewhere between old St Magdalene and Lochside for sure, that Aged Riesling and Chenin Blanc vibe comes through so clean, so precise, so quivering with green acidity. Truly specific and unusual profile, never tasted anything like it, finish just lingerss on that waxy canvass, clay and fresh green herb note for ages.

Blimey, this one’s a proper fruit bomb in a glass! 😄 The 75/25 split gives it a zingy kick – like someone’s shaken up a bag of fruit sweets and poured it straight in. Passion fruit and blackcurrant juice lead the charge, sweet and punchy, with a whiff of pineapple and mango dancing in the background. There’s a hint of citrus – Lemon and pink grapefruit – that keeps it from getting too cloying, but honestly, it’s magnificently fruity malt all the way. Reminds me of a fancy tropical smoothie, but with a soft smoke whisper at the end. Tailored for southern markets, maybe? Definitely more summer garden party than winter by the fire. 🍹
