Just gave it a proper try and was blown away – fresh as a barrel of cider apples, with a nice clean bite and a hint of apricots that reminded me of a sweet beer on a sunny afternoon. There’s a subtle whiff of coal in the background, like a gentle campfire, and a touch of aniseed that sneaks in at the end. The palate feels youthful and natural, a full bag of gooseberries popping up alongside mellow walnut notes on the finish. All in all, a fine example of something both sweet and bright, with just enough soaked barley to keep it grounded. 🍏😊

Just had this one neat, and wow, it really opens up with a lovely mix of orchard fruits - think ripe pears, cider apples, and even some redcurrants. There's a nice sweetness there, almost like sweetened porridge, which is quite comforting. The nose also has this very fresh, almost wine-like quality. I got a full bag of gooseberries and some apricots too. Really natural smelling. Sipping it, that youthful, clean character comes through. It's quite sweet, but not in a sugary way - more like a sweet beer. Then a touch of wood smoke and whispers of coal appear, which is interesting. Very little oak influence, which makes sense with all that naked barley and fruit. The finish is medium long, and that's where some walnuts and a hint of aniseed finally show up. Papayas and soaked barley linger a bit too. A very fine example of a clean, fruity dram. 😊

今天开了一瓶威士忌，喝着真不错 😊 有甜啤酒的味道，带点 touches of aniseed，让我想起 sweetened porridge 的温暖感。水果香挺明显的，pears 和 apricots 混在一起，还有 cider apples 的清新。回味 medium long，最后 walnuts 在 aftertaste 里很惊喜。整体很 natural，wood smoke 轻轻的，但 nice and clean。Gooseberries 和 tinned fruits 都尝到了，oak influence 很小。Soaked barley 的甜味突出，youthful 但 balanced，真好喝 👍

刚刚开了瓶新买的，第一口下去感觉挺明亮的，有点像 cider apples 那种酸甜，后面慢慢散出 white wine 的清爽感。 喝着挺 youthful 的，没什么沉重感，偶尔能捉到一丝 aniseed 的香料味。中段突然涌上来满嘴的 gooseberries，还有红醋栗的果香，非常 fresh。 收尾时有点 walnuts 的感觉，带点 coal 的烟熏气息，不过很淡。整体 oak 味几乎尝不出来，真的很 naked，就感觉酒液本身挺干净的。 回味 medium long，慢慢散成一种自然的甜。整体很适合夏天来喝，舒服！😊

First thing I notice is a lovely peaty smokiness, like a proper campfire 🔥. Then there's this smooth honey and vanilla sweetness underneath. A wee bit of spicy oak too, warming on the way down. Really well balanced, this one. Might have a touch of dried fruit as well? 🍂 Very enjoyable.
