A lovely dram! The first sip hits you with these juicy pear and pineapple sweets – not overpowering, but there's a brightness that's really inviting. It's a touch young, maybe, but that just makes it feel fresh. The texture is soft, like brioche or custard, with a quince jelly sweetness lingering on the tongue. There's this slightly earthy undertone, almost like damp soil after rain, which pairs oddly well with a whiff of tinned sardines or anchovies in the background – not off-putting, just intriguing. Spices come through moderately, warm but not fiery, and the cereals add a nutty base. The finish is clean and long, with a Mars bar sweetness rounding things off, while sultanas and butter fudge give it a cozy, dessert-like edge. Definitely excellent, and much nicer than those coarse Classic Cuts I tried last month. It's entrancing, actually – the kind of whisky that makes you sit up and take notice. Very good stuff! 🥃

Had a dram last night and it’s a proper lovely sip – not quite hittin’ the Mona Lisa level of age but still decent. Straight away you get this bright, fruity punch like apricot pie mixed with peaches and melons, real summery. Sweet and smooth, no sulphur here, more like a refined dessert than anything rough. The finish is a bit odd, though – gets you thinkin’ of a Mars bar or those Breton butter cookies. Nice distillate for sure, cleaner than some I’ve had, but maybe a touch too young for its own good. Custardy, creamy notes with a hint of cheese cake and pears, slightly spicy like sultanas. Not bad at all for a dram that’s still finding its legs.

This dram’s got a right proper sweetness to it – think cheese cake and apricot pie all muddled together, with a custard-like creaminess that lingers. There’s a bright, almost entrancing fizz upfront, like white wine but without the sharpness, then it settles into something more earthy, not quite Mona Lisa but definitely got character. The sultanas and Breton butter cookies give it this crunchy, biscuity depth, while the finish unwraps something curious – pears, maybe, or a hint of Mars bar. It’s rather long, too young maybe, but in a way that keeps it lively. The earthy side doesn’t overwhelm, just adds a bit of dirt under the fingernails, if you catch my drift. Compared to the Classic Cuts it’s leagues ahead – less rough, more refined. Has that la dolce vita vibe, but clean, no sulphur to speak of. Bit of a spice kick too, moderately so, which pairs oddly well with the butter fudge notes. Nice sippin’ dram. 🥃

刚开瓶就闻到杏派的甜香，混着一点烘烤过的面包感。尝起来有点微微的辣度，但整体很明亮——像咬开熟透的桃子和哈密瓜那样汁水迸开的感觉。 酒体不重，带点白葡萄酒般的轻盈，但回味挺长。最后留在嘴里的有种奇妙的焦糖甜，有点像掰开一块Mars bar。偶尔会泛起一丝葡萄干的果脯味，还有点像布丁馅料。 说实话，和之前喝过的另一款粗砺的版本比起来，这支顺口多了。虽然能感觉它还年轻，有些谷物的青涩感，但整体很诱人。偶尔冒出的咸鲜味让我想起罐头沙丁鱼…哈哈，大概是陈年橡木带来的意外联想？
