Really enjoyed the nose on this one — gold, raisins, a little chestnut purée, some sherry, and a funny Cuban rum thing going on. Bit Santiago-style, if that makes sense 😄 On the sip it’s more medium and rather harsh, very spirity, tad varnishy, a little rough round the edges. Not as interesting as the nose, almost baby whisky really, but still rather better than expected. Could blow your head off a bit, mind.

Hold on, this is rather lovely 😄 I get vanilla cake and sponge cake straight away, then roasted nuts, praline and creamy milk chocolate. There’s a café latte sort of softness too, with a bit of fresh coconut sweetie from a country fair. The wood gives it that golden, cosy feel, then a spicier edge comes through, nutmeg and a wee sweet curry warmth. Long finish, quite comforting. I like it.

Really enjoyed the nose on this one — gold, raisins, wee bit of sherry and rum, almost kind of Cuban with a little cake and chestnut purée thing going on 😊 Tastes medium, quite sweet and bonbony, but a little rough around the edges and rather harsh at times. Not as interesting as it smells, but still really very nice for a casual dram.

Proper lovely dram this one 🥃. Nose hits you with a bit of sea salt and dark fruit straight away. Reminds me of walking down by the coast on a windy day 🌬️. Taste is warm, got that chocolate vibe kicking in. The flavour is rich but not too heavy. Not too peaty but there's a hint of smoke in the background. Finish lingers nicely, bit of spice at the end makes you wanna go back for another sip. Definetly one for a cosy evening in. Good stuff 👍.
