The dram comes in a deep gold swirl, hits the nose with ginger and a whiff of pu‑erh tea, the palate is spectacular – a bit of cardamom, the sweet bite of a Mars bar, a touch of pipe tobacco and some superb aromatic herbs. There's a spicy cake feel, a hint of smoked tea, bitter caramel and bitter oranges dancing with black raisins and roasted nuts. The earthiness grounds it, while peppered raisins and a faint chilli liqueur kick give it a long, warm finish. Honestly, it beats the old ones hands down. 😊
