Just had a proper sip of this and it's got real character. First thing I got was roasted chestnuts and that kind of bitter caramel, like the edge of a crème brûlée. Then it opened up – wow, little bits of peppered raisins and a hint of chilli heat that catches you off guard. Really complex stuff. You can tell the oak's done all the talking here, gives it this deep, smoky tea note that reminds me of a good cigar lounge. The finish? It just goes on and on. A spectacular little grain whisky, this. 😌

Poured myself a dram – that deep gold colour looks absolutely inviting in the glass. First nosing... superb herbal notes come through, with something like smoked tea behind it. Really intriguing. Taking a sip – oh, there's roasted nuts and a touch of bitter caramel right away. Then that familiar warmth of ginger and cloves unfolds nicely. There's a real earthiness to it, grounded and solid. The finish brings peppered raisins and black raisins, a lovely sweet-spicy contrast. Just a hint of black pepper lingers. How spectacular is this? The depth and complexity keep me coming back for more. Quite a ride. 👍

Blimey, this one's quite something. Deep gold colour, looks proper rich in the glass. First sip - hits you with cloves and a bit of pepper, then there's this Mars bar sweetness coming through. Funny thing is I'm getting pu-erh tea vibes, that earthy, smoky thing going on. Black raisins and peppered raisins - the spice keeps building with cardamom and ginger. Reminds me of a spicy Christmas cake actually. There's this roasted nuts quality and I keep thinking of chestnuts roasting. The tobacco notes are there, like sitting with a good pipe or a cigar. Menthol sneaks in at the back, and chillies too - just enough warmth without burning. How spectacular that bitter caramel and orange thing is. Herbal notes too, really lovely stuff. This one lingers, keeps going. Great little grain whisky indeed 🥃

Just had a sip of this whisky and it's proper lovely. The smell is all cardamom and spicy cake, with a hint of cigars and pipe tobacco swirling around. 🥃 Tastes like bitter caramel mixed with peppered raisins, and there's roasted nuts and chestnuts in there too. A bit of Mars bar sweetness peeks through. It's got depth and complexity, innit? Earthy notes and chillies come up, plus menthol keeps it fresh. Superb aromatic herbs and caraway round it out. How spectacular! Very long finish. A great little grain whisky, this. 😋
