You get this wonderful layering - soft citrus like citrons and a bit of kumquat peel, alongside richer notes of coconut butter and goose fat. There's a wee spicy edge, white pepper maybe, and something floral like lanolin. As it sits, it opens up more. That luscious fruit comes through - star fruit, ripe gooseberry, a hint of quince jelly. The wood spice and precious resins give it a beautiful structure, nicely chiselled. The finish is just... long. Really long. Warm spice loaf and a touch of tea tree oil fading away, leaving this perfect, waxy, old-school malt profile. Absolute gold standard. 😊
