A medium-bodied dram this one, with a proper peppery kick upfront that mingles oddly with a faint metallic tang – reminds me of old copper coins left out in the rain. There’s a hint of sherry cask influence, but not much, just a whisper under all that citrusy fruit: tangerines and grapefruits swimming around, plus some overripe apples doing their thing. It’s got a weird Fanta-y sweetness mid-palate, which I’m not sure I’m keen on, and a warm praline note that’s quite nice. Some action in this one, but honestly, it lost me a wee bit – the metallic side’s too discreet, and I’d say be careful not to drown it, or you’ll be chasing your tail trying to find the good bits. 🥃

bloody hell, this one’s such a fun ride 🤌 Nice golden hue first, loads of fun fruits popping off – fresh figs, tangerines, totally a departure from the usual dried fruit fare you get most days. Got that European oak warmth, peels and that Campari-orange zing like it’s Campari at cask strength, with a little herbal side kick Good body too, nice and rich, edges feel a bit like porridge and damp oatcakes? Even a whisper of liqueur-filled chocolate and ginger liqueur in there somewhere long finish, more of all that fruit and herbal stuff hanging around, even a weird little Thai red sauce hit? Not too sure this was totally ready for bottling mind, a touch unrefined but that’s what makes it fun innit 😂 That's fun, proper different from your standard stuff.

Had a dram that reminded me of porridge with fresh figs on the side, a hint of ginger liqueur and a splash of Campari‑orange zest. The European oak gave a warm, almost gold colour, and the finish lingered like damp oatcakes after a rainy afternoon. That's fun 😊

honestly this one’s a bit all over the place but i’m properly into it 🤔 first hit is bright tangerines and zesty peels straight off, then that Campari-orange tang kicks in, almost like cask strength Campari with a drop of ginger liqueur? 🍊 then you get that herbal side, fresh barley, even a whiff of damp oatcakes, plus that weird but good Thai red sauce note? so many fun fruits, European oak gives it a lovely gold hue too. finish is mad long, more of all that bitter orange and freshness, though i’m not too sure this was totally ready for bottling, it’s a bit rough round the edges y’know? proper departure from the usual dried fruit ones you normally get, really interesting even if it’s not perfect.

On the palate there’s a cheeky herbal side, bitter orange and fresh figs dancing, a bit like Campari‑orange fizz at cask strength. The gold hue from European oak gives it a good body, and the long finish lingers with a whisper of Thai red sauce – oddly pleasant. Made me imagine damp oatcakes with a smear of marmalade. Honestly, not too sure it was totally ready for bottling, but it’s a proper fun fruit ride 😏
