There's a bit of a tang going on here, like grapefruits and tangerines got into a scuffle with some overripe apples. It's got that wee metallic side—almost like copper coins and metal polish giving it a glint, but not in a bad way. Sweet and fruity upfront, with a medium body that doesn't shout too loud. Funny, it’s a touch Fanta-y in the back, all fizzy citrus. But then there's this pepper kick that sneaks in, and I’m not sure it’s meant to be. Careful, do not drown it—the balance feels like it’s walking a tightrope. This one lost me a wee bit, to be honest. Still, it’s got a warmth that lingers, like roasted pistachios and rum had a wee chat. Gold and copper coins again on the finish, but somehow it all holds together. A bit of a puzzle, but I’d sip it again 🥃

Just poured a dram and first thing I notice is that bright tangerine zing, almost like fresh oranges with a bit of peel‑y bite. There’s a fun fruit vibe – think juicy figs mixing with a hint of ginger liqueur, and a touch of that European oak sweetness that feels a bit like gold in the glass. The body is solid, buttery like fresh barley and porridge, but with a surprising herbal side that reminds me of damp oatcakes on a rainy day. A subtle Campari‑orange note pops up, not too sharp, more like a whisper of bitter orange zest. The finish is long and lively, leaving a faint trace of chocolate‑filled liqueur and a dash of Thai red sauce spice – weirdly nice. Definitely a departure from the usual dried fruit stuff, more fresh and lively than I expected. 😊

Right, so poured myself a dram tonight and honestly... it's quite interesting. The colour is this lovely gold, catches the light nicely. First thing I get is fresh barley, almost like standing next to a field in summer. Then these tangerine notes pop up, reminds me a bit of Campari-orange actually, that bittersweet thing going on. There's definitely something herbal in there too, maybe from the European oak influence? Has a good body to it, quite chewy. Getting some ginger liqueur warmth and oddly enough, damp oatcakes - you know when you leave them out a bit too long? 😄 The finish just goes on and on. Like liqueur-filled chocolate melting slowly, with the peels and that herbal side lingering. Honestly though, part of me thinks this might not've been totally ready for bottling? The porridge note is there but it's a bit... unfinished somehow. Still, there's something fun about it, keeps you guessing. That's fun I suppose, not your usual dram. Wouldn't say no to another glass though 👍

First thing I got was this lovely fresh fig note, not the usual dried ones, really juicy. Then, wow, that Campari-orange bitterness hits you, almost like a herbal liqueur. There's a weirdly nice Thai red sauce vibe in there? A spicy-sweet thing. And underneath, damp oatcakes and a bit of ginger liqueur warmth. The freshness keeps it interesting though. Not entirely sure it's fully mature, but that herbal side and all those layers are proper fun to explore. 👍 More of all that in the glass... think I'm enjoying this little experiment.

Mid-palate’s all fun fruits—like someone dumped a bowl of fresh ones on the tongue, but with a cheeky Thai red sauce twist keeping it interesting. The oak’s there too, subtle European touch, just enough to frame it all without overpowering. Finish lingers like a Campari at cask strength—long, bold, a bit of a cheeky departure from the usual dried stuff. Not sure it was totally ready for bottling, but who cares? More of all that, please. 😄
