Just had a dram that’s proper moreish. Starts with this honeyed sweetness, but not cloying—almost like fresh bread drizzled with limoncello and a whisper of mango. The nose is young Chablis meets Burgundian chardonnay, light gold and a bit chalky, if that makes sense. Takes a sip, and it’s medium-bodied with a pinhead of cough syrup lurking (weird but somehow works). The fruit kicks in—some ripe peaches, a few sultanas, and tangerines instead of lemons. There’s a quiet sherry unleashed, not overpowering, more like a soft echo. Finish is clean, lingering with banana and a touch of pacherenc sweetness. Pretty perfect for its age, really. 🍯🍑

Lovely light gold in the glass – looks inviting. On the nose, it's a little more aromatic, with rather lovely yeastiness and very light sherry, still quiet. Starts more honeyed on the palate, then banana and juicy golden sultanas that grew bigger as I sipped. Touches of pacherenc and a small touch of mango pop up – tangerines rather than lemons, plus a pinhead of cough syrup, just a hint. Medium and tight, but not in a bad way. The glory of good refill comes through, with honeyed notes bringing perfect balance and perfect chalk minerality. Few sultanas follow suit, and the aftertaste has some ripe peaches and back on Chablis notes. Feels pretty perfect for its age – close to top notch! 😊

我最近喝的这瓶威士忌真是绝佳，感觉有点像涂了柠檬糖浆的甜面包， dipped into chalk，口感非常清爽 😊。一开始喝的时候有一点咳嗽糖浆的味道，但很快就被柠檬和橙子的味道盖过了，偏向于 Tangerines rather than lemons 吧。感觉它已经 pretty perfect for its age 了，各项指标都很均衡。 闻起来有一点酵母的味道，rather lovely yeastiness，让我想起了刚烘烤的 fresh bread。喝下去之后有一点蜂蜜的甜味，starts more honeyed，然后慢慢出现了香蕉和芒果的味道， small touch of mango。有些人可能会觉得它有点像 Chablis 或者 Burgundian chardonnay，确实有那么一点意思。 后面出现了一些 juicy golden sultanas 的味道，越来越浓，few sultanas follow suit。然后有一点像 Friends & Firkins 或者 Buds & Barrels 的感觉，但又不太一样。整体感觉呢，medium，不算太重也不算太轻。最后有一点点 sherry 的味道，但非常安静，(still very quiet) sherry。我觉得这瓶威士忌真的挺好喝的，给我一种 Close to 88 的感觉，几乎完美了 👍。
