Nosed it first and got this very nice profile at first nosing — quite floral actually, touches of paraffin mixed with some straw and a bit of marmalade. Took a sip and honestly, what a pull-up. The lemon just comes in full swing right away, with ripe apples underneath. There's touches of herbs there too, thyme maybe, even a little kiwi liqueur sort of thing which is quite interesting. Then it shifts a bit — nice notes of bitter oranges, some marzipan, even a hint of aniseed and wormwood. Simply malty in a good way, like proper peelings of grain. Very moderate oakiness which I appreciate. The finish is long and fuller than expected, including in the aftertaste that true marsh mallow sweetness. Gotta say it needs time though. At first it's all go, but loses steam over time. Falls back into line after a few seconds every time. There's a similar feeling here throughout — a tad simple maybe once you get past the initial burst, more lemon comes back but that's about it. Overall though? Very good and absolutely flawless in terms of just being pleasant to drink. Not going to blow your mind but solid stuff 👍
