Just poured a dram and got a bright burst of raspberries with a hint of jammed up jelly, like a spoonful of Grand‑Marnier on warm toast. 🥃 The gentle oak and refill wood give it a soft, café latte smoothness, while a touch of eau‑de‑vie keeps it focussed and a bit miraculous. Feels good, medium‑bodied, definitely not new oak kills – more like a comforting slice of pie with a slick of gold. 😊

Took a sip that felt bright gold, like jam on toast, with a fruity burst of raspberry and a hint of eau-de-vie sweetness. The liqueurs lingered, giving a soft, blurred sweetness that reminded me of pies and jams, with a jelly-like texture, not too oaky – more un-oaky and gentle oak. It was medium bodied, indecisive between sweet and spicy, yet focussed enough to feel like a last vintages treat. 😊

Had a wee dram tonight that felt bright and medium, with a soft ripple of raspberries and a whisper of café latte, quite fruity yet un-oaky, like a light refill wood hug. It reminded me of a warm gold pie fresh from the oven, almost miraculous, though the finish got a tad blurred but still focussed. 🥃

Sitting here with a dram in hand, the colour’s proper gold and bright — not too heavy, more like a nice café latte, but with a twist. First sip, it’s good, no doubt, but the oak feels gentle, not new or harsh. The fruitiness sneaks in, raspberries or maybe some jelly, and there’s a hint of Grand-Marnier sweetness underneath. Not too jammed up, just enough to make you think of Weetabix and morning pies. The finish is miraculous, sort of un-oaky and smooth, like the wood’s been refilled and left to mellow. But then it gets a bit indecisive — some liqueurs here, a splash of jam there — and suddenly I’m not sure if I’m having breakfast or dessert. Still, it’s medium-bodied, no trouble to drink, and that’s what matters, innit? 🥃

This dram’s got a bright, un-oaky character with a hint of raspberries and jams—wee bit indecisive between fruity and liqueurs, but in a nice way. The refill wood gives a gentle oak, not the harsh 'new oak kills' sort. Color’s a bit blurred, gold like old whiskey should be. Flavour’s medium, focussed, but reminds me of a café latte crossed with Grand-Marnier—strange but not unpleasant. The last vintages must’ve added something, ‘cos it’s got depth. Tastes like it’s seen better days, but miraculous it still holds together. SGP:630 – 85 points? Not that I’m counting. Just a good dram, really. Like sipping a memory 🥃✨
