Invergordon Distillers Ltd, founded in 1964, established its flagship grain whisky distillery on the northern shore of Cromarty Firth, just miles from Inverness, Scotland. The company strategically expanded to own six additional malt whisky distilleries, cementing its position as a pivotal independent supplier to the global whisky industry. Specializing in high-volume production, Invergordon focused on crafting premium grain spirit and single malt whiskies primarily for bulk supply to blending houses and international export markets, serving as a critical backbone for numerous renowned blended Scotch brands worldwide.

Just cracked open a dram earlier, innit? First sip’s got that vanilla, custard and fudge vibe, even a bit like Bailey’s and Jaffa cakes, nice golden colour too 🥃 Thing is, it’s a touch too sweetish, gives off that sweetish white wine Viognier sort of feel half way through, started yawning halfway through the second glass 😅 Pleasant enough for a lazy evening, but wouldn’t neck the whole botttle in one go, mind.

This has a gold colour, and the nose is like a sweetish white wine, maybe Viognier, with fudge and coconut. There's a hint of orange cream that's quite pleasant, but after a while, I start to zone out, zzz zzz zzz. It's not bad, but a bit of a yawn. The sour coco gives it some bite, but overall, it's just... meh. Reminds me of Jaffa cakes without the kick. Maybe a splash of vanilla or custard could've helped, but as it is, I'm struggling to stay interested. A bit thin on the finish too. Not the most exciting dram, but it'll do on a quiet night in. 🥃😴

This one's a bit of a mixed bag, to be honest. It starts off promising with some lovely vanilla and custard sweetness, almost like a dessert. There's a pleasant coconut note that reminds me of those Jaffa Cakes my gran used to make, and a touch of orange cream that's quite nice. But then it takes a turn - too sweet, a bit thin, and that sour coco comes through like it's trying too hard. The finish is kinda lousy, like it's losing steam halfway through. I was expecting more from an Irish blend, but ended up feeling like Chicken to lions - all show, no bite. A few sips in, I'm already yawning. Not terrible, but not great either. Just... zzz zzz zzz. Maybe a splash of Viognier would've helped, but as it stands, it's a bit boring. Still, the golden colour's decent, and there's something oddly comforting about the fudgy texture. Just don't expect fireworks. 🥃

Took a sip of this one the other night, and it's proper smooth – got that vanilla and coconut thing going on, reminds me of a sweetish white wine my mate once brought to a BBQ. Not too shabby, mind you, but not exactly mind-blowing either. The orange cream and custard notes are pleasant, like a fancy dessert, but then it sort of trails off into something thin and, well, a bit lousy. Had me nodding off by the second glass – zzz zzz zzz – definitely an Irish blend vibe, though nothing like proper Bailey’s. Gold in the glass, but honestly, it’s a bit boring by the end. Wouldn’t say no, but wouldn’t go hunting for it either.

Pour myself a dram and the first thought is "wow, this is quite like Malibu". Loads of coconut and a weirdly sweet, almost fudgy note. It's... pleasant, I suppose? But then it gets a bit thin, almost like a sweetish white wine. A Viognier, maybe? There's a tiny hint of something citrusy, like sour coco, but it vanishes. Honestly, after a few sips, it just becomes a bit... boring. Feels a bit like Chicken to lions lol. Starts with a bit of flair but then it's just "very good" in a really plain way. I'm almost yawning, could do with something with a bit more punch. Not bad, just not memorable. A dram that puts me to sleep, zzz zzz zzz 😅
