Had a dram that reminded me of a Midleton‑style pour – soft, gold‑toned, with milk chocolate and coffee‑flavoured fudge notes swirling in. A whisper of triple‑sec citrus lifts the sweetness, while garden earth and a faint ethanoly edge keep it grounded. The mocha vibe is nice, though not every sip feels first‑class, still it’s a very good, comforting sip 😊

Took a sip and it’s like a mocha milkshake met Irish coffee in a cosy pub. The coffee and chocolate hit you first – proper creamy, sweet, with a hint of that honey-coated roasted pecans thing. There’s a bit of milk chocolate lingering, which is nice, but honestly, it kinda loses some of its focus as it goes. Like, the flavours are all there but not quite singing in harmony. Still, there’s something promising about it, a little garden earthiness at the back that makes me think of late-night chats by the fire. Not bad, not bad at all. ☕️

Ooh, that first sip’s got a proper golden glow to it, like sunlight through a whisky glass ☀️. Then—bam—coffee and mocha hit you straight off, rich as a proper espresso martini, but with a cheeky triple-sec twist that makes it all a bit more playful. The honey-coated roasted pecans sneak in next, sweet and nutty, like Christmas panettone left out overnight. But… it’s not all smooth sailing. There’s a bit of a sharp edge creeping in, like someone forgot to sand down the ethanol. And while most bits are dead on—those chocolatey fudge vibes, the garden earth hum in the background—there’s a moment where it loses a bit of its focus, like the orchestra’s tuning up mid-song. Still, when it’s good, it’s very good. That old Invergordon thing really shines through in the best bits, warm and comforting like a well-worn leather armchair by the fire.

Right, so this one started with quite promising nose – very Midleton-style, like a well-aged Irish coffee ☕ But there's some ethanoly edges that make you sit up a bit. The palate is honestly very good, smooth gold liquid. I get loads of milk chocolate and mocha, almost like coffee-flavoured fudge melting on the tongue. Then there's these lovely honey-coated roasted pecans. 🍫 It reminds me a bit of that Italian Cassata ice cream, with layers of different flavours. Can taste a bit of triple-sec too, like in a posh chocolate. To be fair, not all parts are first-class though. The focus seems to drift a bit towards the end, like it loses its train of thought halfway through. Still, very enjoyable drop. 👍
