Gosh, this one’s a proper puzzle, very complex. 🧐 The nose is perfect, honestly – rich deep gold in the glass. First hit is all sweet, stewed figs and black cherries, right? Then underneath, there’s this forest floor, understory kinda scent, with a definite grassy side. And then, boom, you get this wave of caraway and a touch of mint, which is wild. Reminds me of old pipe tobacco and something like… horse saddles? But in a good way, you know? There’s a hint of Patchouli and even a bit of bubblegum lurking. And that worked, strangely enough. On the palate, it’s… well, it’s a long solera, so it feels a tad easier than the nose suggests. Still, you get those dates and a touch of old Bourgogne oak from the double-matured character. The aftertaste? Rather long. Just sits there with a bit of leather and that sweet spice fading out. Really makes you think. 🤔

深金色的酒液看着就很有料。第一鼻子下去是成熟的黑樱桃和枣泥膏的味道，还夹着点无花果干。 喝一口，哇，这酒体真圆润。有股老马德拉酒的甜润感，还有点旧书的、老皮革的味，确实像个老酒窖。慢慢的，嘴里泛起一点烤山核桃的焦香和甜芥末酱的微妙刺激。 回味很长，像在抽一斗上好的烟草，带点薄荷凉意和香料味。还有种青草和湿树叶的清新感，正好平衡了前面的厚重。整体真的非常复杂。 收尾时，那股皮革和烟熏味缠绕不去，偶尔会跳出一点泡泡糖似的俏皮甜。嗯，绝对是个Excellent one。 （中间闪过一个念头，Cadenhead！）总之是杯能慢慢琢磨的酒，不会让你觉得无聊。😊

Poured myself a dram after dinner, deep gold colour in the glass — immediately got that perfect nose, honestly. Really complex stuff, like someone mixed old Madeira with pipe tobacco and a bit of pot-pourri from my nan's living room 😄 There's this lovely rounder quality to it, probably from being double-matured. Getting Danish pastry, figs, dates, roasted pecans... and then there's this unexpected bubblegum thing that just works somehow. Caraway and a touch of mint keep it interesting, maybe even a hint of Seville oranges. The grassy side and understory notes remind me of walking through a field in autumn, weirdly enough. That precious wood and leather come through too, with something flinty underneath. A whisper of old Fino sherry and old Bourgogne vibes — and that worked beautifully together. Finish is rather long honestly, with cherries and sweet English mustard lingering, maybe a touch of Patchouli? Horse saddles if I really think about it, plus a bit of that old Fino sherry warmth hanging around. Absolute excellent one this. Tad easier to drink than I expected for something this deep. Really savoured the aftertaste 🥃

Just tried a whisky – the nose is all roasted pecans and pipe tobacco, with that old Fino sherry vibe. Taste-wise, Seville oranges and cherries jump out, a bit of bubblegum, and there's a grassy side with flinty notes and caraway spice. Dates add sweetness. The finish is rather long, carrying pot-pourri and old Madeira flavours. It feels rounder, almost like precious wood, with hints of horse saddles and an understory of old Bourgogne – perfect, really. Tad easier to sip than I expected. 👍

Nose on this is pretty much spot-on perfect, honestly. Straight away it’s that old Fino sherry thing, but softer – dried figs, dates, a faint waft of pot-pourri that isn’t soapy at all, and just a whisper of sweet English mustard giving it a tiny kick. Then there’s this lovely old Madeira note and a deep, dark cherry richness that keeps pulling me back in. 😮‍💨 Taste is rounder than I expected, and a tad easier than the nose might suggest. Roasted pecans and leather, a slightly grassy side like horse saddles after a summer rain, and a caraway seed earthiness. Patchouli pops up, very subtle, alongside the mint, and then it flips into that flinty, old Bourgogne territory – bone dry then suddenly juicy again. Very complex but it never feels messy, it just works. The finish has that long solera vibe, double-matured warmth sitting in a deep gold glow, and the last thing that lingers is cherries and saddle soap. Excellent one, this. 😌
