Justpoured a dram, first nose brings banana and ripe papaya, a whisper of green earl grey tea and a touch of pollen. There's this very, very faint sour and metallic side that reminds me of lemon drops, then the palate opens with light, fruity and cakey softness – like a pear cake with a drizzle of mead and a splash of fizzy orange soda. Mid‑sip passion fruits push forward, a bit of tarte tatin caramel, and a remote putty‑like soapiness that fades into flowers. The finish feels still flying particularly high, a little tension has been lost over the years, charming fragility, and a lovely kind of post‑apocalyptic label vibe, all in light gold colour. Nothing to complain about, really. 😊

First nose brings light gold, Touches of Fanta and a whiff of grandma's silver spoons. There's a hint of pollen, then passion fruits pushing forward, mango cake and Pear cake sweetness. Papaya, acacia honey and acacia flowers mingle with green Earl Grey and some piney wood. Lemon drops and stuff by our friends the bees add a bright zing. The palate is light, fruity and cakey softness, medium bodied, tarte tatin vibes, banana and a touch of mead. Champagne! sparkle lifts it, while a little tension has been lost over the years leaves it so, some charming fragility. Lovely kind of post-apocalyptic label, more flowers, just nothing to complain about. 30+ years in well‑mannered wood gives it that steady, comforting feel. 🥃

There’s a touch of piney wood, but it’s not shouty – more like it’s been napping in those well-mannered casks for decades. Tastes a bit like Champagne too, if that makes sense, with bubbles of honey and marmalade fizzing through. Got this faint sour and metallic side, like when you bite a coin, but it’s barely there. The label’s got this post-apocalyptic thing going on, which is a bit odd, but I like it. Overall, it’s got that bee-stuff sweetness and a whisper of tension gone soft over time. Then comes this sweet, cakey layer, like a proper mango cake or even a slice of pear tarte tatin. There’s a ghost of green Earl Grey in there too, and just the tiniest hint of something… like polished silver spoons from your nan’s drawer, if that makes sense? Very subtle. On the sip, oh wow. It’s all gentle tropical fruit – passion fruit and papaya leading the charge, but dipped in acacia honey. There’s a light, charming Fanta-esque sweetness, and honestly, some Champagne bubbles might as well be dancing in there. It’s got this lovely, soft, almost cakey mouthfeel, incredibly smooth. The finish keeps the honey and fruit going, with a whisper of mead and that ‘tannic’ tropical vibe, just a lovely, fragrant fade-out.
