Just sat down with a dram after work yesterday, was really straightforward right off the bat, linear and simple 🥃 First you get that lemony pop, fruity cider apple sweetness, a hint of coconut and wildflowers too, even a faint white wine zing with orange peel peeking through. Swirl it around and there’s Earl Grey tea, chamomile, that foam confectionary aspect like cheap marshmellow fluff, plus a touch of cloves and fresh linen, notch sweeter than the last one I had. There’s a bit of oiliness too – olive oil, even a tiny whiff of mineral oil and tea tree oil, with that lanolin, vanilla sweetness, throat sweet vibe. The finish is long, has that floral fragrance in the aftertaste, a hint of brittle waxiness and talcum powder note, even a faint ointments twang if you’re paying attention. Honestly it’s pretty similar in terms of quality to the last one I tried, same overall quality and style, hard to pick out too many differences but this one edges it for me just a tiny bit with that distinct floral edge and camphor lift.
