Bit of a oddball this, innit? 🥃 First you get dried cranberries, overripe oranges and that weird hummus note, mixed with dusty cereals and a hint of chalkiness. Then that classic Benrinnes dustiness kicks in, plus yellow flowers and wild flowers peeking through. There’s white pepper, flints, mustard powder and mushroom powder in there too, wood feels a bit aggressive, right? Finish is drying, with cheesecloth, tobacco leaf and pencil shavings lingering, decent length but the sherry isn’t fully integrated and the cask could’ve been left a few more years to smooth out. A tad acrid in spots, bit strange, but those unusual charms make it very pleasant overall, even with soot and overripe banana popping up out of nowhere.

It's a bit dusty on the nose, like old cereal and a hint of chalky pencil shavings, then a surprisingly pleasant whiff of honeycomb and wild flowers. On the palate there's a dry, oilier feel with a touch of mustard powder and white pepper, a tad acrid and a hint of soot that’s almost rubber‑like. A splash of overripe banana and dried cranberries pops through, while the sherry edge feels a little unsettled, not fully integrated. The middle drifts into mushroom powder, camphor and a faint fresh putty, almost like a hessian sack left out in the sun. The finish is decent length, a little dusty‑cereal note with a bit of overripe orange and a whisper of tobacco leaf, turning a touch more acrid as it fades. Overall, a strange but oddly charming mix. 😊

Deep gold in the glass. Smells a bit odd but kinda charming: overripe orange, banana, damp earth, pencil shavings and a wee rubbery edge. Taste is oily, dusty, slightly sour-buttery, with tea tree oil, flowers, soot and dry wood. Finish is decent, but a bit messy and drying. Strange dram, but not boring 🙂

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 I get soft honey, a bit of oak, and a gentle peppery tingle. Quite smooth, with a wee dried fruit sweetness and a slightly smoky finish. Nice for a quiet evening, honestly.

Lovely nose — honey, dried fruit and a bit of spice. Feels warm and smooth, with oak, vanilla and a wee smoky edge 🥃 Finish is cosy, slightly sweet, and lingers nicely.
