The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) was established in 1983 as an exclusive international membership organization for whisky enthusiasts, now comprising over 26,000 members worldwide. Marking its 35th anniversary in 2018, the Society upholds its pioneering philosophy of 'adventurous, unconventional, and endlessly fascinating' cask selection. Through partnerships with 137 distilleries globally, SMWS releases more than 120 cask strength, single cask whiskies annually in the Chinese market alone. Each bottling embodies the purest expression of its provenance: no water added, no artificial coloring, and no chill-filtration—preserving the whisky's integrity exactly as nature intended. Curated by a panel of expert tasters, every bottle captures the singular character of its cask, rendering each release exceptionally rare and collectible. The Society's distinctive coding system deliberately omits distillery names, challenging connoisseurs to experience each whisky on its intrinsic merits, unencumbered by external biases—a true return to the essence of whisky appreciation.

好吧，这杯malt whisky闻起来倒是有点焦糖和香草，但仔细一闻又有点像油灰？还带着点稀释过的苹果汁的甜腻感。😐 喝起来...怎么说呢，就blandish malts的感觉，像在嚼没加糖的玉米片。一点谷物糖浆的甜倒是挺明显，但整体很plain。 回味又短又快，最后留下一点老旧木头的味道。感觉就是plain fodder for blends的底子，完全不是想象中单桶麦芽该有的层次感。真是浪费了麦芽... 想到这个就有点无语甚至生气。😕

Honestly, just tried this one, and it tastes like tired wood and plain fodder for blends... a bit boring. 😅 I get apple juice and a hint of vanilla, maybe some cornflakes in there? It’s like corn syrup mixed with barley sugar, but in a blandish, uninteresting way. Not really flawed, just… perfectly all right. 🤷♂️ Doesn’t feel like a proper single cask experience at all, to be fair.

Lovely cosy dram 🥃 I get soft toffee, a bit of smoke, dried fruit and a gentle spicy kick. Feels warm, mellow, and quite comforting after a long day. Tiny bit oaky, but in a nice way.

Right then, just had a dram... proper lovely. 🥃 First sip, got this big hit of dry wood, like an old library. Then a bit of spice kicks in - cinnamon maybe? But then it smooths right out with somethin' sweet, like baked apple. 🍎 Aftertaste is long an' a little smoky, reminds me of a autumn bonfire. Quite complex, init? Really warms you up proper. 👍
