Whiskyspace Notes 2211

Had a quick dram this evening – it kinda falls flat, more like an old bottle effect than anything lively. It’s very simple, almost unexpressive, with a sugary chocolate note that reminds me of a cheap melted bar. There’s a faint coffeeish hint and a few orange drops, a pinch of salt in the back, and a whiff of pears, but the whole thing feels a bit cardboardy and slightly metallic. The heavy alcohol hits you straight away, like a burst of hydrocarbons, and the spirit feels a touch disappointing, almost below par. Still, that tiny orange twist gives a tiny lift 😊
